The Control System is based on the renowned GE Fanuc control and PLC Products. GE Fanuc Automation Europe SA supports and maintains its systems in the PARKOMAT, Worldwide. General Engineers Ltd. is the Licensee for the programming and develops the Software, electronic and electric systems. Their supply bears a 3 Year Warranty. In China and Hong Kong only, the central system is based on Siemens Controllers, for now.

The PARKOMAT is completely modular and can therefore be adapted to fit any size or shape of plot. It can be built Above and/or Underground (see example above), or any combination thereof, like unlimited Length, Number of Rows, Floors, Lifts and Parked Cars.

The PARKOMAT's modularity enables it to be enlarged or reduced according to changing needs as a LEGO like system. It is unique design enables access to Lifts, including Turn-Tables, from the End and/or the Side, of the Parking Garage according to planning requirements.

THE PARKOMAT has an independent lift (elevator) for each column and an independent carrier for each row - thus maximising the speed of parking and retrieval. This feature also limits the potential problems that may be caused by temporary technical breakdowns.

The PARKOMAT has its own independent Control, Lift (or more) for each Row (Column), and an independent Carrier for each Floor, with integration in between - thus maximizing the speed of Parking and Retrieval. The PARKOMAT is the fastest of the automatic parking systems allowing simultaneous parking or retrieval of a number of vehicles. The ability to place more than one lift in each parking row, allows maximal speed at rush hours by spreading access to a number of independent entrances.
 
THE PARKOMAT has a uniquely designed lift that enables the carriers to pass through the lift shaft when the lift is not on the specific floor. This adds to the flexibility of THE PARKOMAT as it enables the lift to be positioned at any point in the row. The modularity and flexibility allow entrance from a lift on one side of the garage and exit from a lift on the other side or any combination of possibilities required.

The PARKOMAT is comprised of steel columns and bars and can therefore be dismantled and reassembled should the parking lot be needed to be moved as a result of building decisions or changes in the parking requirements in a particular area. It can be built according to three different dimensions – for Large (L) Medium (MX) and Small (S) cars.

The PARKOMAT has a minimum of moving parts and is based on hydraulic systems making it a maintenance dream. The limited number of moving parts is easily replaceable once the computer has pointed to the exact area and type of problem.

The PARKOMAT is not limited in height or width and can be planned to reduce congestion by the addition of lifts and/or points of entrance and exit as each column is totally independent.

The PARKOMAT above is over and crossing a boulevard, using 500 sq/m of land only. The traffic lights on the right are the three entrances and exits. Clearance is 5.0 meters from ground. There are 3 Rows, 3 Floors, 3 Lifts, 9 Carriers and 136 Parking places.
